Visitor count appears to be not working

For the last few days the number of visitors to my blog is dropping for no reason. For example, yesterday I had almost twice as many “referrers” as visitors. I also posted a new blog yesterday. Normally close to 100 search engine hits and a new blog posting would yield 125 to 150 visitors but the stats only show 54. This is not a one day event, it has been happening over the last week.

After posting this, my visitor count from yesterday and today were corrected but the problem appears to have not been fixed. Over the last couple of hours, I have added about 30 views but again, no new visitors.

It’s been another hour, my blog has gained another 20 views but no new visitors.
Any help would be appreciated.

It has been another hour with another dozen views but no new visitors since the stats were fixed earlier. I have gone from 40 visitors and 56 views to the same 40 visitors and 116 views.
Before the “fix” this morning, yesterday had 24 visitors, after I complained, the visitor count jumped to 105.
This mornings “fix” took today from 7 visitors (from 8 countries) and 56 views to 40 visitors. Even though the view count is progressing much as usual, the visitor count has not moved.

It has been several hours since my visitor count updated. I have now received an additional 87 views but no visitors.

I have now had well over 100 views since I had a visitor. It seems like the “normal” lag should have been over hours ago.

My stats are way down something is going on with the Stats, that is for sure… never seen numbers this small before!

Time for another update…now up to 189 views but still at only 40 visitors. The visitor number hasn’t changed in 12 hours.
With 91 referrers and a new blog posted yesterday evening, the visitor should should be over 125.
Is anyone home?
