Visitor count not updating

  In the couple of hours since I posted a new blog, I have added about 100 views but no visitors. I realize the visitor count isn’t real-time but it seems be stuck or broken.

  Another hour, another 50 views but still no new visitors.

  Another hour has passed, more views but no new visitors for 5 hours. The last time this happened, it did not automatically get magically “fixed” at midnight.

  I’m missing at least 60 to 70 visitors.

  The visitor count from yesterday did not update. I was at 132 visitors and about 200 views around 4:00 in the afternoon. My final total for yesterday now says I had 390 views but the same 132 visitors. So far today I have 9 views from three different countries but only 1 visitor.

  I think it is site wide – I have a real bogus visitor count on my site also – we need to wait for the staff to see what they have been tinkering with a day or so back

  Yea there seems to be a problem. I have tons of views but they show up as a single visitor on the Saturday bar in the stats view.

  My visitor count hasn’t updated for about 16 hours so the problem has been around for a while.

  But this is rather a cosmetical issue. Will it kill us if stats aren´t working correctly for a few days? I don´t believe that. It´s good to know that working to fix the issue.

  It’s cosmetic unless the PR firms/businesses that I work with provide samples based on visitors not views.

  diaryof dennis no blogger thinks of their visitor count as a cosmetic feature.

  What I meant with cosmetic is that my blog is still running, no matter if the stats don´t work for a few days. Yea, maybe still the wrong word but… with due respect, we heard now that they gonna fix it, isn´t that fine?

  I got an update from our team: They found and fixed the issue causing this stats glitch. Your stats should catch up and be back to normal in the next hour or so.

  You may need to refresh your browser or clear your browser’s cache after that if your stats still look wrong.. If you have any trouble with them after that please let me know. :)
