Visitor gets error message trying to subscribe to my blog
-
A visitor got the following error message after typing in her email address to subscribe to our blog posts: “Your subscription could not be activated, it may have expired”
Can’t seem to find any advice on how to remedy this. I’m guessing she tried signing up a long time ago, perhaps received the invitation/confirmation email with link long ago (or never saw it in her spam or social folder) and never responded, but other than signing up with some other email address, how can she ‘reset’ her email to be able to sign up?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I see that others with various subscription issues in the forums are invariably asked by WP staff to provide the problematic email address of the user in question (which will be redacted in the forum post). It is (email visible only to moderators and staff)
Thanks, I am subscribed to this thread.

Well, my user went back in to the confirmation emails she received from WP and discovered, beyond the “yellow text” with the error message, “a button that was a link in an attachment” that she previously had not seen…? She followed it(?) and somehow she is now subscribed.
So I guess this topic is resolved… but I still don’t understand how she would have received that error message if she had failed to follow the link provided in her confirmation-link email.

Good enough!
