Visitor number accuracy?

Thank you so much! Today I woke up to a whopping 3.67 visitor to view ratio! As MichielVMusic mentioned: my visitor numbers are always equal or higher than my referred views and those view counts are still as high. For instance, yesterday’s (15 dec) referred views were 453, but my visitor numbers are only 332. It just doesn’t add up. I’m glad to hear that WordPress/ the team is working on a fix.

Wow, that would be quite the ratio!

But yeah, we do think we may have found the cause, so I’ll let you know as soon as I hear back with the verdict (and hopefully the solution, too :))

Haha exactly indiequeen84! My ratio today so far is 4.59.. Good to hear the cause might be found. Good luck with working on the solution.

Good to know progress is being made. Currently my ratio rate today is 2.39. My page views have been a bit lower than usual, but I haven’t been posting much of late and that is probably why :) Looking forward to a fix soon. Thanks everyone.

It seems as if absolutely NO visitors have been registering in my stats since last night. I woke up to a whopping 178.00 ratio as only one visitor shows up in my stats and 178 views. I hope a fix is on its way soon.

Good to know this is finally being worked on as I woke up to a ratio of 358 which has now dropped to 151!!! Problem seemed to kick in on Thursday 10th Dec for me too – visitors dropped but views rose and ratio went from around 1.2 average to 2 which may not sound like a lot but it is a big change for my audience and I just don’t believe it. Looking forward to a resolution, cheers all!

I think we’ve solved the main issue, so your stats should improve. We’re still working to see what can be done about previous days.

Yesterday my stats ratio was around 4.0 and up. Today, all seems to be looking good and seems to be back to normal. Thursday (10 December) to Monday (14 December) stats are still showing a large fluctuation in terms of ratio. Other than that, it all looks good.

Thanks for the fix! My stats are behaving normally again. I do hope the visitor numbers for Dec 10th through Dec 14th can also be found again. Much appreciate your help @supernovia.

Alright folks, we’ve been able to fix most of the stats, and are just verifying their accuracy now. The 16th is still off, and they’re still trying to see if that can be fixed. But we were able to fix the issue that caused all of this in the first place, so they will be correct going forward.

thank you for trying to fix the issue, but my stats are still having some problems. Yesterday it seemed ok, but today I noticed that I had at least 7 visitors but the counter said 6 and then the day changed and it stayed like that. Could you check my blog please?

I am going to go ahead and close this thread since any other issues that arise will definitely be unrelated to this one. I will update you all if I find out we’re able to fix stats on the 16th.

Again, the other days have been fixed and are now being verified for accuracy / having corrections applied. Please give us a little time to work all of that out. Thanks!
