  Does the visitor statistics exclude the visits of the “account owner”?

  If you are logged in when you visit your site you are not counted.

  Not necessarily. Create a bookmark at the following address : http://riksson.wordpress.com/wp-admin, and that will let you access the dashboard without hitting your blog’s homepage. Especially if you click on “remember”, whenever you access that bookmark it will let you through to the dashboard immediately.
