visitor stats

  I don’t see where I can get summaries (by monthly average for example) and periodic totals (like weekly, monthly and all time) of visitors. I’d also like to see visitors by country.

  Hi Marissa,

  You can view all of your site’s stats on the My Stats page. On the right for each stats section there, you can click on “Summaries” to view summary information for that section. For example, here’s a link to the page with average and total views over time: http://wordpress.com/my-stats/?view=table

  Well this wasn’t exactly what I was looking for. I was familiar with the stats page, but the only summaries that I have found are totaling views not visitors. I see the number of visitors per day in the chart in the top, but how many visitors (not views) came from another country, for example?

  If its not available, then I guess it’s just not available…

  On another note – My MH Carousel is set to show most popular posts first, but the most popular post does not appear to be displaying. I think the most popular post is “Insight” not “WOW”. can you let me know what I’m doing wrong? Thanks!

  Ah, I see what you mean. Those kinds of stats for visitors aren’t available — we only have those summary stats for views. Sorry for my misunderstanding!

  On another note – My MH Carousel is set to show most popular posts first, but the most popular post does not appear to be displaying. I think the most popular post is “Insight” not “WOW”. can you let me know what I’m doing wrong?

  In the MH Carousel widget, the most popular posts are determined based on how many comments they received. If you have any other questions or concerns about how the MH Magazine theme and its widgets work, you can get direct support from the theme author in the MH Magazine support forum here:

  Okay I thought it would be most popular based on page views. I don’t believe I have any comments on the page that appears first. Is this a glitch or something I should take up with the MH folks? Please let me know.

  Hi Marissa,

  If you think the wrong pages are appearing, it’s best to ask the MH Magazine theme author about that directly (by posting in that forum). If there’s a glitch in how the theme is selecting pages for your carousel, the theme author can help sort out why that might be happening and make any fixes to the theme code if necessary. :)
