visitor stats more important than views?

    A Marketing question, which is best to know? I have the feeling that the number of customers is the best indication of growth .. any thoughts on this?

    [opinion] Both are important for different reasons. Total number of visitors is important because you need to make sure your reach is good enough to support your endeavors. That having been said, if I had to choose between tons of visitors who all look at my home page and leave and a much more modest number of visitors who really engage in what I have to say or offer, than I’d choose the smaller, more connected group[/opinion]

    In other words, WordPress provides both metrics because they give us insight into two different, but both important aspects of our audience engagement.
