The discrepancy between the number of views and visitors in your stats is due to how we calculate those stats for your blog. Typically a view is reported within five minutes, while it can take up to two hours to report new visitors. At any given time, your visitor count may lag behind your view counts.
One thing you can do is wait until the following day, and then check your stats for the previous day — that will help ensure that all the stats from that day have been calculated and you’re getting the complete data.

I understand how it works.
The issue with my blog is that
the visitor stats are not functioning.This has occurred several times already
With this site and repaired.It stopped working again October 10th
And now October 11 there is showing
0 visitors and 2000 views at noon eastern time. -

I got an update from our team: They found and fixed the issue causing this stats glitch. Your stats should catch up and be back to normal in the next hour or so.
You may need to refresh your browser or clear your browser’s cache after that if your stats still look wrong.. If you have any trouble with them after that please let me know. :)

It appears to be up and running again. Lag time was about 45 minutes for Oct.10 & 11 to be back up to speed.
