Visitor Traffic Information

  I want to know which visitor came from where? (IP address?) or traffic map kind of a feature
  is it possible in wordpress.com?

  if so how?

  please list the steps to be followed as i am new to this space.

  WordPress has good built-in stats. IP address is listed whenever someone leaves a comment. If you want IP for everyone who visits, you’d have to do a web search for a stat counter. Be sure to choose the HTML code option, and then place it in your text widget under design—-> widgets. Honestly, though, if you’re that new, not sure if this would be too complicated or how seeing the IP of everyone who visits would benefit you?

  Sitemeter and statcounter are the 2 most commonly used. But want to stress that you need to choose the HTML option for code, cuz javascript isn’t allowed on wordpress for security reason. You’d paste that code into a text widget; and then it would show up on your sidebar.
