Visitors being required to subscribe to read posts.

  I shared a link to a recent post on WordPress, and I’m being told that people have to subscribe to read it. However, I have my whole site set to “Public.” I also checked the actual post, and it’s also set to “Published” without any password. It’s definitely not checked off as “private,” so why are people being asked to subscribe in order to visit? Please help!

  But I figured out the issue. I indeed have the whole site set to “Public,” and no post is marked as “Private” or password protected. I didn’t realize that on this particular post (back into editing mode) the field “Access” wasn’t marked for “Everyone.” Instead, “subscribers” had been checked. All is well. Whew.
