Visitors’ countries

I look at my stats daily and I notice that the number of countries from which visitors are supposedly calling often exceeds the actual number of visitors. For example, this morning, I apparently have received 4 visitors from 6 countries.

I would be grateful to have a logical explanation of this.

  • Hi @tigergrowl, because we have to calculate visitor and visits data differently, they aren’t always perfectly in sync. If you’re finding discrepancies in the previous day’s data, let us know and we’ll take a look.

It’s noticeable only at the beginning of a day when the numbers are small and the number of country flags is larger than the stated number of visitors. Later, when the number of visitors is greater than the number of flags there is no obvious way to tell whether the figures are consistent or not.

It seems that I shall just have to accept that the numbers are an indication only and not strictly correct.

    Thanks for your answer.
