Visitors not counted in stats

  Yesterday I received 2 likes from followers of my site but the Stats didn’t record any visitors. Both are WordPress members. Is this considered a normal result? Is there any way of seeing how many WordPress followers are actually looking at posts?

  Hi there:

  People can read, like, and follow your blog directly from the WordPress.com Reader. If they do follow your blog that way, they don’t actually visit your site, so you wouldn’t see any visitor stats in that particular case.

  Since most of my posts are videos, hosted on Vimeo, they can play the video & it still doesn’t show as a hit? I ask because occasionally I see WordPress.com Reader under the Referrers category.

  Correct, if they don’t actually visit your site, it won’t count as a visit to your site.
