  I cannot get the visual editor to function either by default when I open the editor for a new post or when I click on the tab. I am unable to find the way to activate this and am dead in the water. Has something changed recently? I’ve had this blog since 2006.

  Hi,

  That sounds like a browser issue to me. Try the steps mentioned here, starting from “Force Refresh”:

  Solve Common Browser Issues

  P.S.: Instead of doing all the steps at once, try doing one step first and see whether it solves your problem. If not, continue to the next one.
