Visual Editor does not match Preview

  I am using Apostrophe2 theme with Karla for base font, but in the Visual Editor when I enter text it appears in Times New Roman so looks nothing like the Preview. I have blogged before, but this is my first attempt at WordPress and I thought the Block Editor eliminated having to go back and forth between editor and preview screens before publishing. I am still setting up my blog so I am not live yet. This is frustrating and I feel like I’m laying out my page blindly. Why doesn’t my draft look anything like my preview? Is there a setting I’m missing?
