Visual editor is not responding and text editor tools missing

  Hello,
  I’m setting up a page for a client and run to problem with the content creation tools. Using hosted WP on nginx and editing with Chrome.

  There is a problem with the visual editor.
  When posting or making a page, I can see the visual editor tab and the text editor, but only the text editor tab opens. In the text editor mode I can’t see the text editor tools. The visual editor tab is shown but it doesn’t open.

  I checked that the disable visual editor under users.
  The visual tab disappears (like it should) and the text editor tools appear. When I unchecked it the text editor tools disappear and the visual tab appears but it doesn’t respond.
  I don’t get any error messages.

  I suspect it has something to do With the configurations? But don’t have a clue where to look.
