Visual Editor not functioning. Youtube Video not showing in some posts.

This is my blog http://avesdetuzona.wordpress.com (Birdwatching in Argentina)
Most Youtube uploaded videos are working properly.
But in this 2 post the video screen have disappeared.This is an example of one that works.
http://avesdetuzona.wordpress.com/2007/02/19/alerta-culebra-o-vibora/When I tried to edit the post, the visual editor don’t function. It only appears de Code text, althouth the Visual Tag is showing. But I can’t switch.
If I delete the video code between brackets, the visual editor starts working again. If I reinsert de uploading brackets formula like in many other posts, the visual editor breaks again.
I just clean my cache files in the Internet Explorer 6 browser. It didn’t fix it.
Finally, I’ve got checked the rich visual editor option in Users/Your Profile.
Am I missing something?

You have to not only clear out your cache, but I find you have to restart the computer too. That has always taken care of it. No idea why it interferes with the editor, but yup, it sure does, so you can’t even fix things easily. Try the clearing out and restart and let us know what happens.
Also, this problem is computer-specific, by which I mean that it is happening to your computer, but others on your site might be able to watch the videos just fine. So there’s less urgency in getting this fixed; it is working in the meantime for your visitors.

I did restart the pc before posting this topic, just after cleaning the cached files.
I did also recheck with a friend if she could see the “ghost videos” and
she couldn’t. Only a white screen.Maybe i should turn to support.
I’ll wait a while in case anybody else can save me

The video is playing for me with sound (no video). It would be a problem with the video I would imagine because the fact it plays is as far as wordpress would be responsible as all it does is grab the video and embed it with what is sent from youtube. I would go ask the folks at youtube about it as the video acts the same at the youtube page for that video!

The first 15 seconds of the video you can hear only a bird sing on purpose. So as to show the audience the melody. Then it starts the visual capture.
I noticed previously that the video was ok in youtube. But it seems that the the formula in brackets do poison the post. I cut it, the visual editor works and the post loads completely.
I paste the code in the editor, save and the ghost video appears and breaks the visual editor when i try to fix it.It’s only hapenning with 2 videos of my collection.
Today I posted a new one without problem. (By the way is a frog that BARKS)

They both work just fine on your blog for me. Nice blog, btw. I hope that you get this sorted soon. There was a YouTube-rooted error a month or so ago, but it would have affected all of your videos, so it’s not that.

Can’t believe u can see the ghosts ones.
I tried in two notebooks, one PC, and a friends PC with no success at ALL.
I’ll wait till support reopens.:)

I’m wondering if it’s something to do with your internet connection. If your friend is on the same kind of connection as you that would make sense. But as far as I know there’s no Argentinean blog blocking program like China or India.

My friend has the same internet connection and is the other administrator.
Maybe when she was logged in when trying it.
My ultimate question is why are only 2 videos down?

Dr Mike has given you all the help he can, so there’s no point in feeling slighted. I’m the YouTube expert around these parts, insofar as one exists. We’ve both done our best.
Also, it helps us help you if you include information like what browser and version you’re using and what operating system you’re running. Without that information, we have to guess.

it’s true I didn’t mention my operating system.
It’s Windows XP Home Edition (that is an operating system????)My browser is still the IE 6.

The only thing I can think of is upgrading to IE7 or switching to Firefox, and I only make those suggestions because if you’re running XP your computer will support them (some won’t). It’s probably better for you to upgrade anyway, as WordPress has a couple of glitches working with IE6 and you should be able to do that for free.

I still can’t see the videos. It’s an ISP problem. My neighbours that uses the same internet provider can’t see the videos either. I already placed a support request but the service is not as prompt as in WP.
Only FYI -
You may want to try updating your copy of flash as well. I know I have to everyday when I sit down to this terminal and it has IE6.

I followed the instructions, the installation was successful, but these 2 videos still don t work
.
I think I might upload those 2 videos again with a different URL in Youtube
and expect my ISP not to fail streaming them.Thanks again.
I ll close this thread as resolved because I assume it s an ISP problem.
