thank you. Re: your council, “You don’t see it because you’re already in HTML mode. See if in your Personal Settings if the “Disable the visual editor when writing” checkbox is checked. If it is, then uncheck it to enable both “Visual” and “HTML” tabs.”
I’m sorry but when I went to my personal settings I did not see a checkbox for visual or HTML boxes. I am in visual mode but still do not have a box to make the writing bed bigger, still in trouble, and in need of assistance …

@unkulsal
Go here please > Settings > Users > Personal Settings
Look for this near the top of the page:Personal Options
Fun Surprise me. (Fun mode.)
Visual Editor __Disable the visual editor when writingConfirm there is no checkmark ^ there and click “Save Changes”
Then go here > Settings > Writing
Writing Settings
Size of the post box ___linesIncrease the size and click “Save Changes”
Does this resolve your issue?

It is the second line of stuff on the personal settings page. To have the visual editor available, you have to have that box on the second line unchecked. Make sure and save after making that change.

You didn’t ask about making the text area in the editor larger in your first post. That is at settings > writing.

thank you, the box in my personal settings is not checked. What’s missing from my visual editor is the blue box I usually check to enlarge the writing area, it’s usually two icons to the right of the ABC spellcheck, the box just isn’t there, please help thank you
