Visual Tab Not Working

In post editor the Visual tab is not working. Only the Text tab responds to a click.

Additional info: I switched from Microsoft Edge to Firefox and the post editor is fully functional so it seems to be a browser issue.

Hi there,
As you mention Visual and Text, are you using the classic editor in WP-Admin? I ask as those tabs don’t exist in the block editor.
Please check if clearing the browser cache in Edge make any difference. If not, please let us know more details on exactly what isn’t working.

Clearing cache did not work. I’m using Classic Editor, but it’s behaving like Block Editor. It only works in Text mode. Visual mode does not work. The content of the post is in block mode. Otherwise, the post edit page looks just like the Classic Editor. Using Firefox, everything works normally. There seems to be a conflict with the Edge browser.

Then update us here with the version of Edge you’re using and we’ll see if we can duplicate this issue.

PrintScreen did not work so I used Microsoft Snipping Tool. Note carefully the blank space above the text in the snipped image. There are block borders around the text which does not show when snipped. Outside the borders, I cannot enter text nor insert images.

Are you using any browser add-ons/extensions? What are you using, for example, to create the custom color scheme that’s visible in your screen shot? Does disabling those make any difference?
The classic editor works fine for me in Edge, and I can use both the Visual and Text editors without any problems. So whatever is causing the problem here appears to be specific to your computer.

The computer setting is in High Contrast Mode. Disabling does not fix the problem nor has it been a problem since I’ve always used Edge to post on WordPress. It works fine in Firefox and Chrome. The problem just started in Edge.
