Visual theme: add up arrow at bottom of post pages

  Hi,
  With this theme, I can’t fix my nav menu at the top of my site, once I scroll off the header image. So, when I scroll to the bottom of the page, there is no quick way of getting to the top.

  Can I use CSS (a.to-top, i.fa.fa-angle-up.fa-lg or something similar) to add an Up arrow at the bottom-right of my post pages?

  Hi @nilla2014, I’ve looked at your site, and I don’t see a way to do that. We can’t use CSS to add a link at the bottom of the site. If your site had a footer widget area, we could put the button in there and then specify a CSS id at the top of the page to jump back to.

  Thanks for getting back to me @thesacredpath. Your suggestion sounds like a good alternative that I’d like to add to my site.

  I have a Sidebar with widgets but can’t find anywhere for a Footer widget.

  Appearance>Widgets option contains my Sidebar widgets but not for a Footer.
  Customize>Widgets doesn’t display any options either.

  Does my theme allow a Footer widget?

  Howdy @nilla2014!

  Just chiming in to let you know that your theme doesn’t utilize a footer widget, only sidebar as you’ve stated.

  Some themes you can try out with footer widgets are as follows:

  • Gazette
  • Canapé
  • Toujours
  • Apostrophe
  • Arcane

  Thanks for letting me know.
  I don’t want to change themes so I will leave it at that, unless you know any other way to achieve what I’m trying to do?
