Visual theme's search results – unformatted text in summaries

I’ve noticed that the summaries on the visual theme’s search results pages show an article’s text, but without any formatting applied. The summaries on archive pages do include the formatting.

Is this intentional? Can it be changed so that search results pages appear the same as archive pages?

I am using custom css, but I believe my question is unrelated to customizations, so I’ve posted it here.

I used the demo site to look at an example of an archive page compared to a search page:
    http://visualdemo.wordpress.com/2012/
    http://visualdemo.wordpress.com/?s=nulla

Yes, the difference in those is by design. My guess is that the intention is to be able to show more posts in a smaller amount of space on the search results page.

You’re correct that changing how the way those pages function is not a CSS question. I’m sorry but there isn’t a way to change it here at WordPress.com. If you switched to WordPress.org and bought your own hosting, then you would get full control of the code and would be able to make adjustments like that with custom programming.
