VISUALIZATIONS ON PRIVATE BLOG

I’ve momentary set my blog on “private“, just trying to prevent a lot of spam arriving. Dispite this, there have been two visualization on a post the same. How it’s possible? Maybe because it’a a post which was enough frequently commented?
(Try to answer simply, possibly, I’m italian. Thanks)The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

When a blog is marked private, your own visits to the blog and individual posts will be counted. Did you go to that post?
Though you are trying to prevent spam, you are also preventing anyone from seeing your site. Is this your goal? It sounded like you had a good audience, if that post was receiving comments.
Is Akismet catching the spam or are they being posted directly to your blog? If they are being posted, change your settings to moderate all comments. Then any spam comments mark as spam. Akismet is good at catching spam, but it is what they call a “learning engine” as spammers are always trying to outwit it.

: Spam is directly sent as comment or feedback. I’ve just put my settings to moderate all comments since the beginning.

That is odd about the visits to your private blog, I will mark this for staff to look at.
Did you ever accidentally approve a spam comment? Once one gets through, many then come after. Some often look innocent.

I do not see any spam comments right now, but if you moderate comments, nothing should appear on your site without your approval. Please be sure to mark any spam comments as such if the system doesn’t already flag them.
As for visits to your site, please note that our stats are not live, and you may have had a few visits prior to setting your site to private that showed up in your stats afterwards. There were no visits for today.
You have had decent traffic to your site, however, so if your only concern was spam comments, now that you’ve changed your settings, I would strongly recommend you not keep it set to private for too long or you may damage your following and your search engine results in Google etc.
