Vodpod widget problems

  Hi I new to wordpress and am having problems getting vodpod to upload. I keep getting the following error appear on my sidebar:
  Error, pod “http://keithbrindle.vodpod.com/” was not found
  The pod definately exists and there are 3 bits of film in it.
  Anyone out there got any advise?

  That is pretty strange Keith. It might just be a strange issue that is temporary, though I see your issue on the blog. Try editing the widget again and see if it will save again. Maybe that will do the trick. How new is the vodpod pod?

  I tag this Vodpod. Hang in there. The vodpod people often answer tech questions at the forums.
  However it is a Holiday in the U.S. might take a day.

  It might help if you have five videos, from my experience.
  The vodpod widgets that wp.com use work better with at four or five vids.

  I was having problems showing 2 videos… then I took dlager’s advice… added 2 or 3 more. Voila. All is well.

  Yes it seems that the WordPress widget must have enough videos.
  The five video widget= you must have at least five videos in your account.
  Glad it worked.

  I think someone should send this in to support. It shouldn’t matter if you have five videos or not. The widget should adjust.

  Hi Guys,

  I’m one of the people behind Vodpod, and want to shed some light on this.

  The widget definitely works with fewer than 5 videos. I think the problem was that you entered your full Pod hostname in the configuration field. I.e. you entered http://keithbrindle.vodpod.com/, but should have only entered keithbrindle.

  I will only point his out for the Vodpod crew. My widget on my selfhosted was out of alignment until I add four videos. That was the plug in version for Selhosted. That may not pertain to the WordPress.Com version. But I will just point it out if helps cure a bug.
