  We are creating an online student news website. Our secretary is asking that you send a W-9 form to us. Is this possible?

  Hi –

  It’s unlikely that this form is required. Per the IRS it’s only used after $600 is earned by an individual. See here: https://href.li/?https://www.irs.gov/forms-pubs/about-form-1099-misc-miscellaneous-income

  If y’all do require the form we can only submit it after a valid purchase has been made. There are no purchases on the account you’ve used to contact us.
