  Do I need to upgrade to to use WordAds.

  Hi there,

  To apply for WordAds with your WordPress.com site, you’ll need a custom domain which is only available if you purchase one of our plans.

  Also, if you upgrade to the Premium, Business, or eCommerce plan you’ll be automatically accepted into WordAds. You can read more about that here:
