Waiting for domain name to be transferred

  Hi! I am waiting for my domain to be transferred from a hosting company to WordPress, but it will take 60 days. Is it possible to build a website in WordPress without a domain name yet? This way, it will be ready to launch immediately as soon as the domain is transferred?

  You certainly can get your site set up here before switching your domain over!

  When you sign up for a new site, we give you a free subdomain (*.wordpress.com) that you can use to start building your new site.

  If you are moving an existing site, this guide to migrating your site to WordPress.com may also be helpful:
