Wakelet embed
-
Hi WordPress friends, i use wakelet to create archives of artefacts and whatnot and would be super handy to be able to embed the ‘iframe’. I could do this with ‘classic’ but haven’t figured out how to do this with blocks. Example at: https://wke.lt/w/s/LQJ0-_ to put here: https://daveostory.com/misc-tidbits/writing-life/jack-kerouac-100-memo-and-mixed-media-artifact-round-up/
WP.com: Unknown
Jetpack: Yes
Correct account: YesThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

HI,
Gandi SAS(openhostingservice) is your hosting provider. Which means you are using wordpress software.
You should head over to WordPress.org forums.
https://wordpress.org/support/forums/wordpress.org is self hosted with wordpress software.
wordpress.com is managed hosting that means wordpress.com looks after the hosting for you.And Jack Kerouac , Beat poetry. wow.

And also,
In https://wordpress.com/support/wordpress-editor/blocks/custom-html-block/ , I saw :
The following tags are not allowed on sites on our Premium Plan and below for security reasons. These tags may be used on plugin-enabled sites.
embed, frame, iframe, form, input, object, textarea, style, linkSo it is not possible in the wordpress.com way though.
You can check in wordpress.org forums.

Hi there,
You’d need to use the Custom HTML block, yes. If that doesn’t work, please ask the WordPress.org community for more advice, as they make the open source version of WordPress which you’re using on daveostory.com
The forum you’re posting to now is for the hosting provider, WordPress.com. daveostory.com is connected to your account with us via the Jetpack plugin, but it’s not hosted on our servers.
For sites hosted on our servers, iframe embeds are not available at all unless you’re on our Pro plan.

Hi shwetharmaiya & kokkieh, thanks both for your kind advice. i guess i got confused because of the Jetpack connection. I’ll head over to .org support and keep figuring it out.
Best *and Beat lit* regards from Japan
