Wanderer theme – Menu bar colour and main background picture size

  hi
  i am using the Wanderer theme. I need to change two things:

  1. Changing the colour of the main menu bar (currently grey/brown). I would like to make it transparent.

  here is what i am using at the moment but it hasn’t done anything. I am then assuming i put in opacity at 0.0% ? :

  ul#top-menu li a {
  color: blue;
  }

  2. The main page background is currently a picture but is skewiff. what size does the image need to be to fit properly?

  Just to clarify — do you want to change the transparency of the header as well as the menu background (sliding in from the right)? Or do you only want to change the transparency of the menu background? The styles currently match so I just wanted to double check first.

  2. The main page background is currently a picture but is skewiff. what size does the image need to be to fit properly?

  There are some recommend image sizes on the Wanderer theme documentation (see Quick Specs at the bottom):

  Since featured images are full width on the homepage, you might want to try using an image with a minimum height of 936px. Featured images on the theme demo site are 1300px wide so perhaps try uploading an image around those dimensions and see if it sits any better.
