want a simple website

  I want to create a simple website with a basic clean front page with no boxes or type and then a 2nd page with just 10 – 15 video clips. I have tried a bunch of different themes but I cannot figure out how to make all of the words and boxes go away and leave basically a background color with a logo. simple and basic looking website. Help!!!

  You might try the Shelf theme – it’s very clean and looks like what you are trying to achieve. (You can see it in action here.)

  It looks like a lot of the themes that are free – but when I go into the dashbord – it looks more like a blog then a website and I cannot figure how to keep it simple?

  If you use WordPress.com as your platform, you will always have some semblance of a blog rather than a website. There are things you can do to minimize this, but you may need to change to either a self-hosted version of WordPress.org or another platform entirely.

  (You should also read up on how to use WordPress to create a website.)
