Want blog to look like demo – beginner

I honestly want my blog to look exactly like the Canard demo, but with my content, font type, and colors. I am a brand new beginner at creating a blog and this is difficult. I want that little toolbar of pages, the large pictured categories…in a nutshell, how do I set it up to look just like the preview for the Canard theme?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You can activate theme by clicking the button over there and make changes accordingly, and make sure you save the changes.

FDConner – looks like you haven’t yet finished setting up your Featured Content area, which is the five featured posts in a grid that you see on the demo. The guide vishalmukadam linked to above shows you the steps to set that up.
I see that you’ve added the featured tag in the Customizer, but you haven’t yet added the same tag to any posts, which is why your Featured Content grid isn’t appearing yet.
Try adding at least 3 more posts (you have only 2 currently) and adding the featured tag to them. Here’s a guide on how to add tags to your posts:
