want blog w/o creating a new account

  I created a WordPress account with my preferred UID “quiddity2”.

  However, I want a blog with a different name. But when I access the page for creating a blog, it seems to want to give it a name associated with a WordPress account (actually, creating a new account to go with the blog).

  How can I create a WordPress blog with a different name from my user account name?

  It appears that I have figured it out, through the usual random process. It is only AFTER you login with your WordPress account that you then see an opportunity to “get” a blog.

  When you sign up there are two options. 1 to get a blog and the other to get just an account. I suspect you went for the second option and just got the account.
