If WordPress.com is serious about attracting businesses (http://en.wordpress.com/types-of-blogs/), you need to find a way to include ALL Paypal buttons. Like businesses using wordpress.com? Businesses like e-commerce so give them what they need: Paypal. Don’t like/want businesses? Then get rid of your “.com” and join your “.org” do-gooders. This is a serious gap in your offerings… I’m a (very) small business owner who doesn’t have the technical expertise or patience to deal with “wordpress.org”.

WordPress has never wanted to do e-commerce and I doubt they would change their minds on that.
.ORG is the open source development and distribution site for the wordpress software.
.COM is a commercial venture of Automattic.
There is no mixup on the .com and .org.
Hire a web host and you can paypal to your heart’s content. It ain’t that difficult. Most upgrades can be done automatically and most web hosts worth their salt offer installation scripts that allow you to install and set up the wordpress software by just answering a few questions. The days of needing to write and edit configuration files and FTP stuff to an account on a web host are virtually gone.
