Want Domain Name Back

    I would like my domain name back. My credit card information changed so my account lapsed. I am trying to get help from a human, but it won’t get me help unless I have a paid account. I want to pay, but I want to pay for my domain name. Does anyone else see this conundrum? What should I do?

    I understand how frustrating this can be! You’re in a tricky spot, but there’s a way forward. Here’s what you can try to recover your domain:

    1. Check Purchases: Go to https://wordpress.com/me → Purchases. If your domain is in the grace period (10–14 days), you can click Renew Now to recover it.
    2. Redemption Period: If the grace period has passed, it might be in the redemption period, requiring a redemption fee. Check your Purchases page or contact WordPress.com support for assistance.
    3. If Released: If the domain has been released, it can be registered by anyone. Try re-registering it through WordPress.com or another registrar.
