Want my site to be .com?

  Hi there. I set my blog site up last Friday and I wanted to pay the $17 to have it be .com. I selected that option and it never asked me for my ccard number or any form of payment. Then when I got my confirmation email it said that my site was @wordpress.com. Now when I try to obtain the .com it says that that site name is reserverd but may be available in a few days. Can you help? Thanks!
