Want page numbers instead of "older posts" on Twenty Fourteen
-
Hello!
I had played around with a couple of new themes, but I’m going back to Twenty Fourteen. Unfortunately, because of all the revisions I did to CSS on other themes, I no longer see the CSS changes I’d previously done for Twenty Fourteen.
Specifically (right now, anyway!), I had changed the “Older Posts” and “Newer Posts” to show a choice of page numbers, which I prefer. When I changed back to Twenty Fourteen theme today, the numerical pagination showed on the preview, but once I made a CSS revision, it vanished. How can I get that back?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there, at Customize > CSS, there is a CSS Revisions link at the top of the text area where you can see your previous CSS revisions and they will be identified by theme also.
The pagination at the bottom of blog/archive/category/tags pages is hidden by default. Add the following to the bottom of your custom CSS to hide the older posts button and bring back the pagination.
#infinite-handle { display: none; } .infinite-scroll .paging-navigation { display: block; } -
Thank you so much! This brought it back. It’s a bit different, though; the current page used to be indicated by a yellow square of color, while now it is indicated by a bar of yellow above. Is it possible to bring the yellow square back?
I’d love to see what the primary sidebar looks like with the border above each like the content sidebar has, but in the same darker grey that the tags are in. How would I add that to the primary sidebar?
Again, I so appreciate your expertise!

Sure we can do that. Add this to your custom CSS, which will match the yellow of the top border highlight.
.paging-navigation .page-numbers.current { background-color: #f1efa5; } -
That’s perfect!
Do you think it’s possible to do the darker grey borders above the widgets in the primary sidebar, as mentioned above?

Sorry, I somehow missed the sidebar question. Here you go, but I’m not sure I’ve gotten the grey color you wanted.
.primary-sidebar .widget .widget-title { border-top: 6px solid #767676; padding-top: 7px; }
