Want Post Appearance to Be Consistent

  • Unknown's avatar

    Hi,
I’m hoping this is something relatively simple. I’ve managed to look at the Element Inspector and I can see that on some posts the font:family is Arial, on others it’s Verdana and others are some Gothic thing I’m not familiar with.

All I want to do is make all of my posts look the same — same font, same size, same color. I’m not sure why they’re not, but I’m guessing that when I wrote them up in Apache Writer (or whatever), I brought all the mixed up stuff in when I pasted the text in.

Do I need to plug in CSS for every post, or every paragraph? Or can I just do one that will make a change across the board?

Any help is much appreciated …
    Thank you!

Hi, I looked at several of your posts, and on the “Some Blog!” post, the font sizes and families are actually in the text within that post. This can sometimes happen when you copy and paste from a different program, or from the web.

To fix that post, copy all the content of that post out and and then delete all the text in the post. On the lower row of tools in the post editor is a button with a “T” on it and if you hover over it, it will say “paste as text. Click that button and then paste in your content and everything should be fine. You will have to redo your formatting (quote) and add the read more link back in.

Follow the above procedure for any posts where there are formatting issues.

In the future, if you are pasting from a different program, or from the web, make sure and use that button so it will strip out any HTML and styling that is in the text you are wanting to paste.
