Want Thumbnail Next to Lead-In Text on “All Posts” Page

  Is it possible to have a thumbnail show up next to the lead-in text on an “all posts” page, sort of a visual cue of what’s in the post? I wouldn’t want that thumbnail to show up in the full post, as I post full-size images following text in most of my posts … like a gallery.

  Is there a way to do this so the “all posts” page(or a category archive page)has something interesting going on other than just text?

  I don’t think this is possible on wordpress.com hosted blogs and a quick search for this didn’t show many promising threads on how people are doing it and how. Maybe try a couple searches of the forum or on google for this until someone who can tell you for sure shows up :)
