want to change a theme for another

    I don really know if this is a support question but anyway..I just started using worpress and now I want to use a theme that another page offers,so I downloaded this theme but I dont know how to change my theme for the other one…and in the control panel I go to Presentation–themes but I dont want any of those so does anybody know if there is a import theme option or another way to use an external theme ?? really appreciate any help..thanks

    Are you hosted at WordPress.com or somewhere else? If you’re at WP.com you don’t download your own themes: we can only choose from the ones under Presentation. Period.

    if you’re a wp.com blogger, you cannot use any theme that isn’t available in the presentation section of dashboard. if you want to, you have to be self-hosted to use a downloaded theme. you can get support help from the wp.org forum for using the downloaded wordpress programme at http://wordpress.org/support
