Want to change (decrease) the main headline size on each post

    Need some CSS code to add to my blog so that the headline on each post can be sized smaller. Thanks.

    Hi there, this would resize on the main page if you want to change the post title font size there.

    h2.posttitle a {
        font-size: 120%;
    }

    For the single post pages, such as when you click on a post title and go to the dedicated post page, the following would be used.

    .singular article.post h1.title, .singular article.page h1.title, .singular article.attachment h1.title {
        font-size: 240%;
    }

    The seemingly overly large font sizes above are due to the characteristics of the custom font you are using. Just adjust them to get it to look the way you want it to.

    Thanks, that worked like a charm. How did you know that 240% was the magic size? ;-) Much appreciated.

    Heh, I just started plugging in numbers and 240 seemed like a good size. :) Sometimes with web fonts, that is the only course of action.

    You are welcome, and howdy, neighbor. I live in Austin as well. :)

    Clearly web font sizing bears no relation to the type sizes I was using back in the day when spec’ing type by counting characters was the M.O. (pre-web, of course!). Again, never would have thought to choose 240 but am glad it was the lucky number.

    Appreciate the help, and how does WordPress come to have Austin support staff? BTW as an Austinite, you might enjoy this: We Are The Champions
