Want to change default text body font to Academy Engraved LET font.

I know NOTHING about CSS. When I opened my new blog here, I got the WordPress Premium Upgrade Bundle (so we have the ability to customise the site – we just lack the expertise). We asked a WP Happiness Engineer to change the font to “Georgia” for us in the CSS area until we found a font we like. Now I have chosen the final font, Academy Engraved LET. I’m not sure if any of the WP people are on the forum, but if anyone can explain to me in easy-to-follow instructions (I have brain cancer, so I can’t follow complicated instructions), I would be extremely grateful. Thanks in advance.

I checked up your blog and you have the following CSS code in your stylesheet:.wf-active body, .wf-active input, .wf-active textarea {
font-family: Georgia, Times, ‘Times New Roman’, serif;
font-variant: normal;
font-size: 14px;
}Paste that code in My Sites -> Customize -> CSS (there is a white boxfield in there) and change “Georgia” for “Academy Engraved LET”
I’m no expert in CSS either but I believe this should do it.

Hi @darquethoughts, we have two options for fonts. First would be to choose one at Appearance > Customize > Fonts for your body text. The second would be to specify the font in the CSS. The problem with specifying it in the CSS is that the font has to be installed on the visitor’s computer or their browser will substitute another font.
Academy is installed on my Mac, but it is not a font that is installed on all computers. Also, it is a dual stroke font, which is best suited for headings, not for body text. At body text sizes, you are not going to be able to see the space in between the double strokes, and it may be very hard to read at body text size.
I would suggest something from the list of body fonts like Abril Text or Le Monde Journal, or perhaps PT Serif.
