How do I register a domain name?

    HI hi

When I created the blog I had to put in a web address/url address, they said I can still change it later, so I just named blog the first best thing that came into my head.

But now I’ve build the site … And now I want to change the name to something proper, but I can’t seem to find where I can change it… They said for $17 I can use http://www.dalabotha.com..

How do I get there again and change it?

You can do this by purchasing our domain mapping upgrade. You simply log into your WordPress.com blog, go to the Upgrades > Domains page (from your blog’s Dashboard), then enter in the domain name you wish to register in the ‘Add a Domain’ box.

    Okay, I have last question….

If you go to my blog (www.dalabotha.com) you’ll see on the homepage right now there’s a post “small beginnings”. And one of the top menu’s is “blog”. What must I do that when you click on the “blog” menu, it will show the “small beginnings” post too (after the introduction first blog paragraph.) I would like all of the blog posts I do to be on this “blog”-menu page (like on http://linendemo.wordpress.com/category/travel/ ) – could you maybe advise me?

    Thanks!

You have the hard part of this process (creating a custom menu) already done! :)

Now all you need to do are a few things:

    • Create a new post category called ‘Blog’
    • Add the newly created ‘Blog’ category to any posts you want to be in that category
    • In the custom menus page (Appearance > Menus) there is a Category module – select the ‘Blog’ category and click the ‘Add to Menu’ button. This will create a new link on your menu called Blog. (You will probably want to remove the current page you have on the menu called Blog in order to prevent confusion)
