Want to change my domain name

  I purchased the deluxe package from wordpress and during the process, I created a domain name of arrestinglyuncooperative.com and I want to change it to a different name, like ThisTimeForSure.com but I can’t find any references on how to do this. I don’t have the wordpress as part of the domain name. Do I need to pay for another domain name and then transfer my wordpress package to it? How does this work? Thanks.

  You have already used the domain registration that is included with WordPress.com Premium to register arrestinglyuncooperative.com. So you would need to purchase another registration in order to change to a new domain.

  To add a new domain, simply log into your WordPress.com site’s dashboard, click on Store–>Domains, enter the domain name in the “add a domain” box and click the “add domain” button. Then simply follow the instructions that appear to register your domain. Once finished, you will want to return to Store–>Domains and set your newly registered domain as the “primary” domain for your site.
