want to change name of person posting the blog

  • Unknown's avatar

I am starting a second blog and I noticed that it says:Posted on December 2, 2015 by deadhead1155. I don’t want it to post the deadhead1155 as I use that for my other blog. How do I fix this?
Here is what I have done just to get started: https://flicklives.wordpress.com/?p=3&preview=true

    Thanks.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi,

The owner/administrator of a WordPress.com account must use the same author name on all sites/blogs in the account. If you change either the username or the display name (nickname) on one site, it changes on all sites in the account.

A useful workaround is to create a second account, and then while logged in as an administrator of the first account invite the user/author from the second account as a contributing user to the blog in the first account. Then accept the invitation while logged into the second account.

also there is the ability to change the displayed name – it’s in the configuration of your user account – should be a displayed name setting – the name that is attached when I comment and post on blogs is not the same one you see here in the forum –

    @ deadhead1155,

    You’re welcome.

    @ auxclass,

True. However, the display name, as I mentioned above, would be the same on all sites in the account. The OP asks how to assign a different author name (whether username or nickname) on a second site in a single account.

    @ auxclass,

Please correct me if I’m wrong on this. The last time I tested, changing the display name on one site in an account resulted in it being changed on all sites in the account.
