want to change the email id used while registring in wordpress

    i want to change the email address i used while registring in wordpress. I changed the email id in the USERS section, but it remains unchanged.
    i even got email notification in the inbox of new email id i assigned. But in the personal settings it shows the request for change of email id has been sent to (email visible only to moderators and staff) (new email id). And nothing happens.

    Pls help.

    Hi there,

    In order to complete the email change, you’ll need to click the confirmation link sent to the new email address. Did you receive an email confirmation at that address?
