want to change username to TheBrewSherpette

  i was invited to be an editor on thebrewsherpa blog. i actually formed it and then gave admin rights to my boyfriend. now when i log in on my email, my username is g + many letters, and I would like to change it to TheBrewSherpette, but i get a message that the service is down to check back in a few days. Can you help?

  Have you tried this:

  Do you have a funny looking username assigned through Gravatar that starts with g2-* ?

  the “g” username is now gone, however my username thebrewsherpette, shows in black as a contributor and is not clickable. Please help. TYVM

  You username is linked to your blog and ithe link works for me. Please try clearing your browser cache and cookies. http://www.google.com/support/accounts/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=32050

  Staff disabled that feature for now. There is nothing whatsoever you can do but wait it out. I’d suggest posting anyway and then later once you’ve changed the username, editing the post to indicate the changed name.
