Want to delete an extraneous page called Videos, can't delete it or edit it.

The blog I created “No shelf Required” has an extra page that I can’t delete or change. My blog should begin with Videos and then a sub item called “shift happens”. There is a page called Videos with no content and no sub item but it just doesn’t go away after many tries.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hello!
If I understand you correctly, you want your blog to begin with videos and have a sub item that says “shift happens”?

If that is correct, your website currently displays that.

When I view it from the dashboard I see another page. If the url is http://noshelfrequired.wordpress.com — another page shows up. Is that ok?

As it stands right now your site
http://noshelfrequired.wordpress.com/ (either with the http:// or without) currently displays a Video Page with a submenu item of “Shift Happens”
When you view it from the Dashboard you may have given your page one name but the title of the menu a different name.
Example of what Dashboard Custom Menu Screen should look like:

You may see another page and that is OK so long as your custom menu page is set-up correctly. Which, in your case, it appears to be doing what you want it to do. :-)
Example of what site looks like with the above custom menu:
