  when I try it comes back with:

  There was a problem saving your changes.

  what I want to do is use a gmail account not a yahoo account for wordpress. I have created two accounts but have not gotten a response
  for the gmail account yet.

  Do you mean you have created two WordPress.com accounts? I can see this account is connected to your Yahoo address. If you have another account with the Gmail address you want, you’ll first have to change that account to another email (you can create a temporary Yahoo address for that purpose), thus freeing up your Gmail address so you can connect it to this account.

  I don’t understand what you’re saying here. Is the Gmail account connected to a WordPress.com username? If it is, you won’t be able to use it with this account unless you do a swap like I explained above.

  Each WordPress.com account has to have an email address, and you can’t use the same email address on more than one account.

  Hey folks, I just thought I’d throw in another idea. With gmail, you can use aliases. Before the @gmail, add “+old” — and it will still deliver to the same gmail address. Then the original gmail address will be free for this account.
