Want to delete the blog
-
Hey,
I would like to delete the blog which was created for a school assignment in 2010, but I cannot find anywhere where I can delete it completely? Does anyone know how can I do it?

Not spamming, just want to bring more clarity and provide additional information. Quite confused about it myself:
The reason, I want to delete it – it contains my name and I do not want it to show in the google search.
When I am logged in, I cannot edit or delete posts as well as add new ones. All I can do is to change my account information and settings. The dashboard shows that I do not have any blogs. I’ve checked my mail and I do not have any other registered account on wordpress.com/org. I have an email about termination blog under my username, so it is supposed to be this one, however, I still can access it via google search. Thank you. -
There are three questions you need to answer yourself:
1. What is the exact URL of the wordpress.COM hosted site in question?
2. Exactly which wordpress.COM username account registered it?
3. Exactly which email address was used when wordpress.COM username account was registered.
Every WordPress.COM blog has a sole owner. It is the person with the WordPress.COM username account who registered the blog under that username account and a single associated email address, and who is the original Admin of the blogs registered under that username account.
You have to be logged in as Admin http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#administrator under the exact same username account that registered the blog to access the blog’s dashboard.
Clicking this link should display all blogs registered under the same username account, including the hidden ones: https://dashboard.wordpress.com/wp-admin/index.php?page=my-blogs&show=hidden
If you do not see the blog here http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-blogs/ then
follow this guide > http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-blogs/#my-blogs-dashboard-visibilityIf the log-in information is lost visit https://en.wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword
If you check each and every possible email address and account and are not successful gaining access to the blog(s) then please complete the form for account recovery at this link https://en.wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=recovery and submit it to the Account Recovery Staff, and provide proof ownership, so they can contact you by email ie. not on these public support forums which are available to everyone with internet access.

If you are in fact the owner of the blog, then you need to recover the account first and then delete the site. To delete a WordPress.COM hosted blog you must be logged in as Admin under the exact same username account that registered the blog to navigate to Dashboard > Tools > Delete Site. The guide is here http://en.support.wordpress.com/delete-site/
Deleted blog URLs are not recycled, regardless of who registered and deleted them and no exceptions are made except for the one stated here http://en.support.wordpress.com/recycling-blog-names/
Alternatively, to change blog visibility to Private go to > Settings > Reading scroll to Blog Visibility and choose option 3. See the guide here http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings

Thank you so much for this information! I’ve tried all of the mentioned options and it seems like I had another account registered under my name (i tried to recover password under the name of the blog and it went through to another email). I do not remember the password to it and the worst thing is that the email address (another email) which I most likely used is now deleted, because it was an university account (they delete it after graduation).
I tried to send a request to recover my account, but yes, they need proof of the ownership, which I cannot provide since all the emails are deleted long time ago.
Do you know by any chance other way of contacting the WordPress team?
Thanks a lot for your help!
