  hi
  I want to DL my entire blog so I have this as a back up
  is this possible?
  if so is there a video that shows me how?

  if I only wanted to export some of the pages and files to a new blog/site would I have to move the files and change all the links on the pages to work on the new site?

  Hi there,

  When you import that export file to a new site, the importer on the new site should automatically fetch and import your media files from the original site. The importer should also rewrite any internal links on the site to reference the new site’s address.

  An important condition here is that the original site you exported from must still be online and public at the time that you import the content to the new site.

  Yes, you upload the file and start the import process. The rest is taken care of by the importer.
