Want to get a domain name

  Hello,

  I’d like to make from cedricalexandrephotography.wordpress.com, my own domain.
  If I get a domain, will my previous wordpress address still be available?
  I’ve put my address on many websites for people to visit me. I wouldn’t want them to click on that link and don’t be able to find me anymore because I changed to my own domain name in the mean time…

  If you get a custom domain it means both it and your previous domain both work.

  If you get a custom domain name and map it to the same blog you gave out the URL for, then the custom domain name will be added on top of the existing URL and both will get you to the old URL, note: you will still make changes to the blog with the custom domain name at the old dashboard, you just add a second address for visitors
