Want to have “Leave a comment” on all posts
-
Some of my postss have a function at the bottom to “Leave a comment” with a nice text field, and most of my posts do not. I would like this open and available on all of my posts, including the one I have designated as my “front” post or page. How and where is theis opeion set? At the bottom of all posts there is “Filed under: Current front | 1 comment”. When I click on comment, it opens up the “Leave a comment” function and text field, as I want, but I cannot make it the default to show all of that.
The site is… http://dacohens.wordpress.com/
Thank you!

When you view a group of posts (in either the main posts page or an archives page) you get the “No Comments” or “[number of] Comments” tab below them. When you view an individual post in its entirety (by clicking on its title, or via a link to it, or by clicking on its Comments tab), THEN you get to see the existing comments, the “Leave a reply” phrase, and the comment box.
All three of your posts are like that. Its only some of your PAGES that have no comment box. Go to Pages>Edit and select the “Allow Comments” option.

I see, thank you. I’ll add a note to the main post to tell folks to leave a msg and how to do it. Is there something I can link to and call out in a msg so that visitors can click on my msg for them to leave a comment or reply, and it opens into the form? Instead of telling them to go to the bottom of the page and click the “Comments” link, which is a little vaugue and clunky. Thank you!
Alos, am I usaing thes themes in the right way? I’m havinv trouble with the links all working sometimes, then other times they all go to a post reading PAge Not Found in the middle. The right and left sides all show up though, but links there too end up with Page Not Found. Again, this only seems to happen when IO fiorst go to the site, then starts working later. I did notice the links worked after doing a cntl+F5.

1. I agree that, for visitors not already accustomed to blogs, having to click on the number-of-comments link to leave a new comment isn’t the most obvious thing in the world. A few themes have a more reasonable phrase instead. As for your question, the comment box is part of the full post: you cannot summon it by itself.
2. Apparently you’re not using links well. For instance, in your “Tahoe Trip” post, you have a link saying “More pictures”, but that links to the main URL of your blog.
But I don’t really understand what’s going on in your blog in general. Is the sticky post you’ve got up front meant to link to other posts? WHERE ARE THEY?
